When customers discover that they have a bed bug problem, it goes without saying that they wish to begin to solve the problem immediately. Fortunately, there are actions you can take right away that can help to solve a problem, before you’ve even called a pest control company to help. Vacuuming, steaming, laundering, and removing unneeded items from the home will always help. Another action we routinely recommend is the purchase of a PackTite
The PackTite is a heating chamber that safely heats to a temperature of 135-140 degrees – a temperature that quickly eliminates bed bugs. It’s easy to assemble, easy to operate, and in most instances, it’s ready to be used within 10 minutes after you open the box. Plain and simple, it’s a problem solver that can help in any situation where bed bugs are either a problem, or, something that you’re trying to avoid getting. It can be used as a preventative measure, or a preparation assistant, or as a device that will help remediate your bed bug problem.
It’s value in helping prepare in advance of pest control services for bed bugs is immeasurable, as items that can’t be placed in a dryer, such as paperwork, files, books, shoes, dry-cleaned clothes, etc., can easily and safely be placed inside of a PackTite. Typically, the preparation individuals have to perform (before bed bug elimination services are performed) exceeds the amount of time a pest control company will spend treating the problem. Yet, the convenience of a PackTite is it becomes a tremendous time saver, and it can become cost-effective as well. Dry cleaned-clothing that can’t be laundered can safely be placed in a PackTite, which helps without question to offset the cost of a PackTite.
PackTites now come in 2 sizes: the original PackTite, and the Closet PackTite. Size-wise, the original PackTite is big enough to place a carry-on size piece of luggage inside of it. The Closet PackTite is twice as big as the PackTite, and is large enough to hold a check-in size piece of luggage, or, as many as 30 dry-cleaned shirts. A common use of a PackTite for many families has been to heat luggage after returning from vacations or business trips. Many other families typically heat their children’s school items (knapsacks, books, lunch pails).
Since we’ve carried the PackTite, we’ve always offered it to our customers at the cost we pay for it: $250 for the original PackTite, and $460 for the Closet PackTite. While we realize this cost is not cheap, we believe it’s value in helping you solve a bed bug problem in the short term, and possibly preventing a problem in the long-term, becomes worth the cost. Please call us any time, and we’ll be more than happy to talk about its benefits, and answer any other questions or concerns you may have about a current bed bug infestation, or, trying to avoid getting a bed bug infestation.
